Amazing news from Tyre Bay Direct – We are now part of the Atlas Equipment Team!! – October 5th, 2017

After a short period of business interruption, Tyre Bay Direct is now fully operational and servicing customers as normal.

We are excited to announce that as of 29th September 2017, Tyre Bay Direct became the UK arm for one of the USAâ™s biggest and best equipment suppliers, Atlas Automotive Equipment.

With 13 locations across the US and Canada, as well as exporting to Central and South America, Atlas is a brand name that comes with a strong reputation for quality and price.  We feel proud that Tyre Bay Direct was identified by the Atlas US team as the ideal platform for launching their equipment range into the UK.

Created by Greg Smith, who began the story in his first Indiana store back in 1982, the Atlas distributorship will bring with it an extensive product portfolio consisting of tyre machines, lifts and associated garage equipment.  Being owned by a large group will strengthen our customers♠confidence in Tyre Bay Direct: we are able to deliver a reliable product at the right price, and more importantly support customers well into the future.

Over the coming weeks and months customers will see a wide array of new products being added to our website, including a new tools line from Atlas♠sister division, Mountain Tools.

This is a truly exciting development for Tyre Bay Direct.  We look forward to making the most of this acquisition to further enhance not only our presence in the market, but also the whole experience of dealing with us, as we invest heavily in stock, people and, most importantly, our service to our customers.

Our time at Automechanika 2017

Earlier this month and for the second year running we took our place alongside over 800 industry suppliers at the UK’s Automechanika exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham, only 25 minutes away from our head office! We took the opportunity to showcase our Cormach equipment, an Italian range of machinery for whom Tyre Bay Direct have become the UK distributor.

The star of the show for us was undoubtedly the Cormach LIGRO GT tyre changer. Fully operational on the stand this 26” automatic tyre changer features Cormach’s lever-less design making easy work of even the most stubborn wheel and tyre combinations.

This was partnered with the Cormach TOUCH MEC SONAR wheel balancer, a new addition to the Cormach range. Fully automatic with sonar measurement input, laser guided weight placement and complete touch screen operation (even when wearing gloves!) both machines were available as a package with some excellent finance options.

We strive to always offer our customers value for money and this is why we have partnered with Cormach. Cormach machinery offer technology and features that, for machines in the same price bracket are a costly add on or simply can’t be added. This makes the Cormach range from Tyre Bay Direct the only choice for serious tyre fitters

At the show we exchanged conversations with hundreds of visitors, saw a mixture of new and existing customers, and came away with over 70 contacts for both the Cormach machinery and also our entry level brand of equipment, Redback. We had such success at the show that it was decided by day 2 that we would be back next year and have already secured our stand!

Mobile Tyre Fitting Equipment from Tyre Bay Direct

Whether you have a large garage or a small workshop on wheels, Tyre Bay Direct have the ideal equipment for you. Working closely with our customers, we seek first to understand the potential problems and then find a resolution. Perhaps the most frustrating issue with mobile tyre fitting vans is only having room for smaller semi automatic tyre changers which, not being designed to cope with low profile or run flat tyres, can result in having to turn crucial customers away.

Larger fully automatic machines are usually overlooked for a mobile van because of their rear tilting column and wide assist arms taking up precious working space. However with precise measurements and a well thought out design we have managed to create the perfect package for the average size mobile tyre fitting van.

The package includes the best selling Unite U-226 tyre changer which, despite its fairly large assist arms, is perfect for the back of a van. The U-226 model is capable of changing up to 24″ wheels and can easily cope with run flat and low profile tyres meaning there’s no need to limit your services. The perfect choice of wheel balancer for a van is the compact Unite U-109 manual data input model. Being hand spin operated this balancer does away with the large hood freeing up essential working space. Alongside the changer and balancer stands an Engine Air 100 litre petrol compressor and inverter system, which is much more economical than a generator, as well as a variety of range of tyre consumables and workshop tools.
